In the spring of 2019, I was contacted by Maryland Athletics to direct their brand ideation/art direction on social for their basketball and football programs. As always, I approached this unique project with the intention to create something that jumped off of the screen and set itself apart from a saturated field of competitors through bold and exciting design.
I focused on the interaction between player subjects and haphazard textures to create lots of chaotic visual movement throughout. The text work reflects this through a wide typeface and warped movement of its own, and the existing yellow/red/black color system was perfect for such a frenzied theme.
